Cantaloupe Melon

Cantaloupe melons, known as “melone cantalupo” in Italian, are characterised by their sweet aroma, orange flesh, and netted rind. Cantaloupes thrive in the warm and sunny climate of central and southern regions of Italy, like Lazio, Campania and Sicily. The season typically starts in late spring and extends through the summer months. The peak of the season usually occurs from June to August, when the melons are at their sweetest.
